Ekgården is a nursing home where individuals are offered care, support, and services characterized by professional treatment. The operations include social and cultural stimulation so that residents can experience joy in their daily lives. Ekgården is located in a pleasant environment in central Ekerö and is operated by the municipality. The residence has 59 places divided into 6 units, of which 4 are somatic, 2 units for individuals with cognitive illnesses, and 1 unit for short-term placements. The residence has its own kitchen, where all meals and meal boxes for home care clients are prepared.

In the spring of 2026, Ekgården nursing home will move to completely new premises at Träkvista Square.

Your tasks will include:

Fire Safety and Security

• Preventive work within systematic fire protection. Identify and address risks
• Participate in fire safety inspections and fire representative meetings

Key and Tag Management

• Program tags with the correct permissions
• Be responsible for key receipts and traceability

Purchasing and Deliveries

• Orders and purchases
• Receive deliveries and distribute to departments

Premises and Environment

• Supervision and maintenance of outdoor environments
• Maintenance and minor repairs in premises
• Assistance with moving within the organization
• Inspection of apartments and self-checks (e.g., replacing shower hoses)
• Receive and follow up on error reports

Waste and Recycling

• Recycling and source sorting
• Plan the disposal of confidential papers

Mail and Administration

• Manage incoming and outgoing mail
• Update names on mailboxes and boards
• Be responsible for the copier

Qualifications

You need to have:

• High school education or other education we consider equivalent
• Driver's license B
• Good computer skills
• The ability to communicate and master the Swedish language well in speech and writing

We would also like you to have:

• Previous experience of similar tasks
• Experience in cleaning
• Experience working with people
• Knowledge and experience of minor maintenance and repairs, preferably from nursing homes or similar environments

How to get to Ekerö municipality

To be employed by Ekerö municipality in elderly care, you must present an extract (HVB) from the police's criminal record along with valid photo identification before employment. You can request the extract on the police's website. The extract should not be older than six months from the date of issue.
